“The best moments in our lives, are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times—although such experiences can also be enjoyable, if we have worked hard to attain them. The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. -Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (Flow)
When you look at your life, and I mean really look hard on the both the good times and bad, you’ll notice that the ones that tried you the most were the best times you’d ever have had. The seemingly flow state you experienced when having to make something work out of nothing or something you had to fight extra hard on shows you the work you love to do. When you in the zone, you feel invincible, like nothing can stop you from achieving your goal.
This is peak human experience. To be able to use all your faculties to progress and grow, is to excel in life. So next time you’re going through something rough or you are unsure if it would all be worth it, know that you’ll think back on these times as hard, but 100% worth the effort you put in.\
